Up to Fancy Gap
Painted completely within Inkscape - February 2021 - revised January 2026
Printed on 100% cotton rag paper meeting archival standards
In early February, 2021, I had to drive up to Virginia on Interstate 77 through Fancy Gap.
The road has wonderful winter views - starting with this perspective when you are approaching.
The lower clouds and the Blue Ridge Mountains all merge together.
The clouds higher up, appear as almost on another level
The trees have no leaves - are barren - and contrast with the clouds.
In 2026, I relooked at this piece, and focused more on the foreground and less on the sky above.
Price includes mat, simple frame, and Optium Museum Acrylic for UV protection and reduced glare.
