It’s a beautiful spring morning. Tulips have popped up - wanting to be showcased.

I originally planned on doing an abstract - but our garden was just crying out - showcasing its colors and spirit in the morning sun.

Rather than painting with sharp lines, Spring Time was created using a softening technique.

It started with the background. Looked so good, I opted to paint the flowers and the sky with the same tool.

Springtime was awarded a winner certificate at Art Mozaik in Santa Fe, New Mexico.
