Organic Forms #13 - Push Ups
Printed on Japanese Washi paper - June 2025
1 print was made at 17” wide x 22” tall
In the “study”, I tried to use a softer technique for a man doing push ups.
Japanese Washi paper tends to soften the lines - fitting with this piece.
We are using a paper called Niyodo Kozo, which is only 25 grams/square meter.
Normal white copy paper is 75 grams/square meter - This is 1/3rd the thickness.
Because of the thin paper, this is hand pulled through the printer - lots of patience required.
Fibers from the plants and trees show through the very thin paper, adding more texture to the final print.
We mounted the print on acid free white board in order to brighten the piece.
Only one print was made.
Pigment ink combined with Japanese Washi paper will last for over 100 years with UV protection.
Price includes a simple frame and Acrylic with UV protection and glare.
