Just Before Sunrise - 48 x 24

Painted completely within Inkscape - August 2025

In July 2025, it was raging hot during the day at the beach. We opted to start our 2 mile walk, around 6 am.

The sun was not quite on the horizon. The clouds turned beautiful yellow, orange, and pink colors.

Pelicans were already cruising the ocean for fish.

A new moon and Venus shown in the background.

I tried to capture it all, even the 2 birds and moon/star were present.

I’m sad to post, this would be one of the last walks that my wife, Heidi, and I took with my sister.

We had been taking beach walks with her for almost 30 years.

My much younger sister, Joanne, died at the end of September, 2025.
