In early November, we saw a beautiful sunrise while walking on the beach.
It looked nothing like the above - but it was definitely an inspiration for its creation.
I started to think about the Hubble and James Webb Telescopes and the views of stars and galaxies.
NASA started to show detailed pictures of other stars.
This made me transform our regular clouds into far more spectacular colors.
We experimented printing on canvas - but the painting looked flat on canvas.
Hahnemühle’s paper gave the art more depth and allowed us to create the deep rich colors.
The paper needed to be very thick in order to fully absorb and showcase the colors.
The 36” version has deeper colors than the 17” width.
